The GEMS Way

The GEMS Way is a code of conduct promoting courage, confidence and compassion in the way we act, think and feel.

Courage

mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty

  1. Be brave, be daring, be fearless – Be your own hero.
  2. Take a risk – try and learn. Try again.
  3. Speak to be heard.
  4. Stand up for your rights.
  5. Be tenacious – hold tightly to your beliefs.
  6. Give 100% effort – know your limits, when to push yourself and when to hold back; allocate your personal resources appropriately for self preservation.
  7. Practice resiliency – an ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change.

Confidence
